‘Under the radar’ is how people usually describe something that is going on that is not easily seen or observed. Until something about it suddenly blows up.
Such is the case about an article posted in an independent digital media company called Buzzfeed about a model married couple living in Waco, Texas who are a beloved HGTV celebrities. The article itself has created so much controversy not because of what born-again evangelical Christians Chip and Joanna Gaines said or did but what the church they go to doctrinally stands for with regards to issues on homosexuality.
Although the November 29 article unfairly attacked the husband and wife team for their association with the church, that is on the outside. On the inside is in fact a bashing of Biblical Christianity. That is what is ‘under the radar’. The noisy and usually rowdy left constantly beat their drums against what they call ‘homophobia', 'islamophobia', ‘bigotry’ and others but no one has as much as raised a hand against what I call ‘Christianiphobia’. As if it is not rampant. Truth is the discrimination against the followers of Jesus Christ is so widespread and the atrocities committed against them in other countries is so horrific I cannot begin to describe them in detail.
Granted it is not as much in this country. But the stars of the popular reality TV show ‘Fixer Upper’ are just the latest example of the utter hypocrisy of the liberals and their political correctness gone berserk.
The sad reality is that the prevailing atmosphere of unjustifiable belligerence in the US media directed towards Christians, God and the Bible did not happen overnight but it was brought to its highest level during the last eight years. Hopefully, prayerfully, that will begin to change come January, 2017.
